Description: Lundhs Marina Blue granite is a coarse-grained monzonite (larvikite) with large steel-blue feldspar crystals. This stone internationally may be nominated as a granite but in the area of application of the European Standard this stone must be nominated as a monzonite. A small sample is usually representative of the whole slab not having a wide variation in colour and veining however there is a difference between Lundhs Marina Blue HQ and Lundhs Marina Blue 2nd & 3rd Choices. During the polishing process a clear epoxy resin filler may be used to fill any micro fissures or tiny pitting however this does not affect the integrity of the stone, it merely provides an even smoother surface finish. Lundhs Marina Blue granite is suitable for both interior and exterior use futhermore is frost resistant and with a constant polish.
Products: Suitable for construction projects both commercial and domestic, prefabricated countertops/worktops, vanities, tiles, backsplashes, paving, fireplaces and memorials.

Surface Finish: Lundhs Marina Blue granite looks best with a gloss polished surface but is also available as honed, leather/satin, river-washed/antique, thermal/flamed, brushed and sandblast finish.
Sealing: Test with a small sample. It is possible that a sealant can be used on Lundhs Marina Pearl granite however excessive attempts at sealing it could actually create a residue film build-up.
Block Sizes: This is the original Marina Blue Pearl granite quarry with the choice of five quality types of blocks, Lundhs Marina Blue 1st Choice, Lundhs Marina Blue 2nd Choice Extra Fine, Lundhs Marina Blue 2nd Choice Selected, Lundhs Marina Blue 2nd Choice and Lundhs Marina Blue 3rd Choice. Monzonite:: Monzonite is a plutonic igneous rock intermediate in composition between syenite and diorite. An intrusive igneous rock that contains abundant and approximately equal amounts of plagioclase and potash feldspar, it also contains subordinate amounts of biotite and hornblende and sometimes minor quantities of orthopyroxene. Quartz, nepheline, and olivine, which are occasionally present, produce quartz, nepheline, and olivene monzonites. Monzonite is not a rare rock type, but it generally occurs in rather small, heterogeneous masses associated with (and perhaps gradational to) diorites, pyroxenites, or gabbros.
